Integral Maintenance of ICT Equipment

The Sermicro Group has been awarded the project to provide comprehensive maintenance services for ICT (Information and Communication Technology) equipment for various areas of the Barcelona Provincial Council.

Services

Among the services to be provided in this comprehensive maintenance of all computer assets, are:
  • Attention to all internal users that make up the different areas.
  • Technical support, including the management of incidents and queries, requests, changes, problem solving, etc., as well as hardware maintenance, including the management of equipment and voice and data lines supplied by third parties.
  • Administration of the 11 XPN office Windows servers.
  • On-site technical support service to the sites.
  • Management of user workstation equipment including installation, configuration, updates and maintenance of software (operating system and applications), inventory management and administration of permissions and folders of the XB file sharing service.
  • The management of the sites' local area networks.

On the other hand, during the transition and transformation phases of the service, the IT Governance team of the Sermicro Group will analyse the weaknesses and strengths of the IT Governance tools (Ticketing, Knowledge Management, Inventory, monitoring and application deployment software), with the aim of improving them, implementing Sermicro Group solutions.
Additionally, this project also includes the extension of services, which may be necessary, based on the knowledge of the performance of existing systems, the needs of users or the evolution of the technological environment.

Technical team

The team in charge of executing this project will be made up of technicians specialised in networks, systems, Help Desk, field technicians, etc., and a service coordinator, who will be responsible for the management and execution of the project and, therefore, in charge of the resources, the fulfilment of the activities agenda, the follow-up meetings, the fulfilment of the established objectives, etc.
In order to carry out its work, it will have a scorecard with the main indicators of the service, which will allow it to analyse the situation of the service and make the best decisions to provide the quality, rigour and level of compliance requested by the Diputació de Barcelona.
